Twitter has gained much popularity these days and has become a hub for all the people of the world to meet, stay in touch, and establish business. But with popularity comes additional responsibility and security of interaction issues. Twitter has been accused for spreading the malware links merely because it uses URL shortening services.

On the other hand, it was vital for twitter to use URL shortening services as it had to provide a mechanism to the user for squeezing as much information possible in 140 characters. This posed doubts regarding security and also allowed many malware links.

However, twitter has off late begun with blocking the tweets that contain the URL to malware distributing website. any tweet that possess any kind of malware in its link is blocked successfully on Twitter hence, making it a much more secured platform for staying touch with all the people without any troubles.
